Annual salary: $168,313.60 to $214,801.60 (1% increase effective November, 2025)
Benefits: CalPERS retirement, 401(a) plan, generous health coverage (up to 100% paid), voluntary 457 plan, Social Security and Medicare participation

The East Bay Regional Park District, the largest regional park system in the nation, is recruiting for a Division Lead of External Affairs. This pivotal leadership role will guide strategic communications, government and legislative affairs, and public engagement efforts that advance the District's mission. Spanning more than 126,000 acres and serving 2.8 million residents, the District is a recognized leader in conservation, climate resilience, and inclusive recreation.
The Division Lead of External Affairs will:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for Communications and Public Affairs, the Clerk of the Board, and Government and Legislative Affairs
- Strengthen public trust and engagement with communities, agencies, and policymakers
- Advance communication strategies that support environmental and equity goals
- Partner with executive leadership to elevate the District's visibility and impact
